Cinemek Storyboard Composer HD App Reviews

This is a great start with lots of possibilities. The ability to create a movie file or PDF is awesome. The one issue it faces is the inability to maintain a picture size and position on a panel. Every time I set up a shot with a photo positioned how I need, it recenters and resizes once I playback or export. This also applies for a photo taken within the app. I hope for $30, this will get fixed quickly. It otherwise makes it extremely difficult to work around. A month later with emails saying the problem was fixed and theyre checking on why it wasnt uploaded yet. Now no response to emails for the last 2 weeks. $30 from me plus $30 from my business partner and the app is not usable. If it was $1, it wouldnt be a big deal. For $30, you need to get your product working. 2/10 - Two weeks since my last message to the vendor and no response. My faith in them to stand behind and correct issues with the product is diminishing fast.

Guys, you are doing great, but I think its a pretty much a time to make a new huge step. For sure, update from new Retina display on iPad. And... iCloud sync. Cloud option what you provide isnt the same. As a my workflow I feel like making stills and basic compositions on iPhone version, but then I sit down at table I would love to pick up my iPad and... think and make "fine adjustments" in the version already imploded from the iCloud. Its awesome!

Its a good start but there has been no updates that answer user requests. For the money, it lacks!! Its ok it just needs a few basic addition, I cant believe they havent added them yet... U need to be able to open an empty frame that is blank, AND draw/sketch this is a must. Layers would be nice. Layers would allow multiple photo elements to be loaded into same frame. More elements such as people and more angles. I mean even $4.99 apps have 10x more people and a positions. This really isnt enough to Block a scene. If you could combine the other top 2 competition apps it would be perfect!!!! Story boards is a very good app, so is storyboard quick, and this app is ok. Why cant someone combine the features of these and make One useable app Needs draw/sketch Needs layers Needs much more elements Needs more people and positions (profiles) Needs to fix frame centering issue Needs more arrows/shot elements graphics I think I liked ver 1 for iPhone better than this iPad ver I agree with most other users complaints

Good app! But needs continuous audio between panels for a seamless track of music. Unable to have a song flow with a sequence of rapid shots utilizing multiple panels, e.g: montage! Hopefully will see one day in an update?

App is just ok. Wish it had a sketch tool instead of forcing you to use photos to create a scene. Other apps have way more tools to create and be creative with building a scene via image tools. Also upon completing a story board I tried to render and export as pdf and the app just crashes every time. No support on their website, the forums link is a broken link, no basic FAQs nothing! I hope they respond to my online inquiry form. App developers, give your customers some sort of trial before they gamble on you! Not giving expensive apps a shot anymore without them doing something in good faith. So, if I cannot get the export function to work, these storyboard creations are just a waste taking up space on my iPad! So far $30 down the drain!

Amazing app but please OPTIMIZE for iOS 7 & iPhone 5!

App could be really good, but it needs some work for the new OS. We cant see the text being typed or edit. Only result, delete and start over ! Why cant the app just send it directly to text (JPEG string or phone video)? The top bar that shows our iphone stats (carrier, time, battery, etc..) wont go away when using the program. Ill 5 star the App after these issues are addressed. Thank you

I promised Id give this app 5 stars once it saw an update for iOS 7 and iPhone 5. Well done.

Just purchased and tried to build a set of boards and ran into a few problems. 1) Seems to be slow and drag on a brand new iPad mini - biggest problem - please update. 2) No way to add blank slides 3) The comments under boards stop showing up after awhile, you have to quit app and re-start for them to show back up.

Great app, I use in video production all the time!

This app is a very useful production tool, I just want to see some bug fixes (lag between commands).

Ive had the iPhone app for a while and really like it. Found 2 bugs in this iPad HD version, mic doesnt work and buggy buttons and learned that theres realistically no support. The mic bug makes this unusable for me, as I need it for timing VO work on our projects, but that may be a unique situation for us. The button bugs just serve as more evidence that this needs more work. Support does eventually respond but, other than suggesting a workaround for the mic (which didnt work), they havent helped at all. When I finally asked if theyre still supporting the app I learned that theyre btwn developers right now and trying to. Its been over a month since that note. So, doesnt seem like like a priority for them. Buyer beware. Shouldve stayed w the iPhone app. Im now out $30 and valuable project time. That damned HD label got me again!

Buggy and useless. Only a single profile and frontal silhouette image of a man and woman? What exactly makes this app worth 30 dollars? Awful, dont buy. Going to get my money back. No wonder there is no demo or free version.

I bought this after using the iPhone app for a while with a lot of success. Unfortunately neither work with iPad Air 2 or iPhone 6s Plus. Currently having trouble bringing in images or creating boards. Bought SBQ Direct HD to hopefully take its place... At least it works. Really want cinemek to work. A great app when it worked.
